Hunting

A lot of people hunt in Iowa. There are many things a person can hunt in Iowa. There are deer, rabbits, coyotes, otters, badgers, beavers, foxes, turkey, and many many more animals. I prefer to hunt deer because they are kind of tricky to hunt sometimes. They get spooked easily and have really good hearing. The deer hunting seasons in Iowa are: youth season, first bow season, early muzzle loader season, first shotgun season, second bow season, second shotgun season, late muzzle loader season, and finally, high-powered season. I usually hunt every single deer season.

A doe is a female deer and a buck is a male deer. A fawn is a young deer or newborn deer.

Many people use tree stands, blinds, calls, and trail cameras. I use a gun or bow, scent killer, calls, and a hunting chair or sit on the ground. I have shot a few deer. When I go rabbit hunting usually take a twenty-two rifle. To go rabbit hunting, first keep looking in all directions because they might get scared and try to run away. Second, if they are running, aim a little in front of them. Rabbit season goes from August to February.

Hunting is a fun thing to do if you are up to a challenge, a long walk, and ready to sit still and wait for something to wander over. So give it a try, and have some fun in the wilderness. Remember you got to hunt to kill.
