Deer hunting is a really fun thing to do. You can do it at any age from 8 years to 70. You can hunt with guns and bows. In Iowa some guns you cannot use because they are illegal to use. There are different seasons for deer. Some of the seasons are youth season, which you have to be under 16 years old to hunt. The next season is bow season, which is for anybody. Then it is early muzzleloader season. Then after that it goes to 1^st shotgun then it goes to 2^nd shotgun season. Then it goes to late muzzleloader season. Then high powered season starts after that. Bow season also goes through all those seasons. It doesn’t go through shotgun season for safety reasons.

Deer hunting is fun but can also be dangerous. There are hunters that are killed while they are hunting. They have been killed by themselves like if they fall out of a tree stand. They also can be killed by dropping their guns and getting shot by them. They can be shot by other hunters when they are walking to where they are going to sit down. Other hunters might mistake them for deer if they don’t be careful. While hunting with a shotgun or any gun you should wear orange so that other hunters can see you, and don’t mistake you for a deer. You should wear an orange vest because it sticks out more than an orange hat. You can see orange because it is an odd color in the woods.
